< UGANDA NATIONAL NGO FORUM SECRETARIAT:
This is the service and operational arm for the Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF). It provides support and facilitation for the execution of the planned activities. It is composed of a small core team of highly professional staff that provide the necessary technical expertise for the UNNGOF. The Secretariat is supervised by the Board and is headed by the Executive Director. Below is a profile of the present staff at the UNNGOF Secretariat. COLLECTIVE CIVIL SOCIETY INITIATIVES AT THE UNNGOF:
In line with its conviction about the value of collective action and synergy especially within civil society, the UNNGOF hosts a number of collective civil society initiatives, most notably the National Districts Network Support Programme (NDNSP), the Global Coalition Against Poverty (GCAP Uganda Chapter), the Uganda Governance Monitoring Programme (UGMP) and the Civic Commission for Africa (CCfA), Uganda Chapter.
Most of the aforementioned initiatives have designated UNNGOF Staff as Focal Persons, but for some, additional staffs are recruited to run them as below:
Support Programme for Advocacy Networks - SPAN
SPAN is a collective civil society programme that brings together international, national and district networks and coordinates, capacity-build member organizations, carryout documentation and information sharing on regional, national and district level policy issues and jointly advocacy and engage with local government and other policy actors. The SPAN Programme hosted at the UNNGOF has one staff below.
