The Uganda National NGO Forum Institutional Structure is anchored around three main organs: a) the Annual General Meeting; b) the UNNGOF Board; and c) the UNNGOF Secretariat as presented in the illustration below:

The Annual General Assembly (AGA): This is the supreme governance organ for the organisation and comprises all paid-up members of the Uganda National NGO Forum. It meets annually to play a strategic oversight role, approve organizational policies, deliberate on issues of strategic importance and holds the Board and Management accountable for agreed decisions.

Uanda National NGO Forum Board: The Board is the penultimate governance organ of the organisation. It is composed of 13 persons of whom 11 are directly elected according to the UNNGOF Constitution, 2 are appointed as Independents through an extensive process involving Management, the Board and the AGM, and the 13th Person is the Exectuive Director who is also an Ex-Officio on the Board and Secretary. The Board supervises the Secretariat and ensures that decisions and policy proposals made at the AGM are reasonably implemented. The Board normally meets thrice a year, unless an extra ordinary meeting is convened.

The Uganda National NGO Forum Secretariat: This is headed by the Executive Director. The Secretariat is charged with the delivery of day to day activities of the organisation. See link…for details of current staff members.
